Sidney Powell accepts plea deal in Trump Georgia case

Sydney Powellformer legal adviser to Donald Trump, pleaded guilty Thursday to minor crimes in exchange for a sentence that means no prison time, agreeing to testify for the prosecution in the sprawling Georgia racketeering case against the former president and more a dozen other defendants.

Fulton County Prosecutor Fani Willis’ indictment in August alleged that Trump and 18 other co-defendants participated in a “criminal enterprise” aimed at overturning the 2020 presidential election.
