Jim Jordan wins GOP nomination for president, but obstacles remain

WASHINGTON—House Republicans have chosen Rep. Jim Jordan (R., Ohio) as a presidential candidate, but it remained unclear whether former President Donald Trump’s fiery ally could avoid the fate of Steve Scalise (R., La.), who also won an internal vote, but failed to gain broad enough support within the party to claim the gavel.
