Mexico raises death toll from Hurricane Otis to 39


MEXICO CITY — At least 39 people were killed and 10 others missing after Hurricane Otis slammed into Mexico’s Pacific coast, devastating the popular resort town of Acapulco, officials said Saturday.

Minister of Security Rosa Icela Rodriguez said Saturday that 29 men and 10 women had been confirmed dead. The probable cause of death was drowning. Rodríguez said their identities have not yet been determined.
