Zinedine Zidane is not interested in the Manchester United job, according to multiple reports.
Zidane was one of the names linked to working at Old Trafford if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked.
The Norwegian is under enormous pressure following an embarrassing 5-0 loss to Liverpool on Sunday.
Reports suggest Solskjaer is safe at the moment, but the club are still considering their future after a poor run of results.
Zidane has been one of the biggest names linked with a move to Old Trafford, former Chelsea and Juventus manager Antonio Conte also a top contender.
But Zidane doesn’t want the job, report ESPN and Mundo Deportivo.
The Real Madrid legend is taking a break from management after leaving the LaLiga club this summer after collecting an impressive number of trophies during his two terms at the Bernabeu.
The job at Old Trafford isn’t the one he’d be interested in, though he’s still linked as a potential future boss.
The Spanish publication claims that jobs at Paris Saint-Germain and France are the ones he’s interested in.
His agent’s comments in 2018 apparently back up those claims, having cast doubt on rumors when Zidane was first linked to replacing Jose Mourinho.
“I don’t think he will succeed in England,” said Alain Migliaccio Sunday Newspaper in October 2018.
“It doesn’t suit his style. I talked to him. It doesn’t really appeal to him. “
talkSPORT understands that Conte has been probed for the job, if Solskjaer is sacked.
The Italian is keen to return to the Premier League as he seeks his next managerial opportunity after leaving Inter Milan, where he added the Serie A title to the Premier League crown he won as he was manager of Chelsea.
