You can get a $500 credit by pre-ordering the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57-inch gaming monitor

Through October 1, you can get a $500 store credit when you pre-order the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57-inch on Amazon (when you use promo code 500NEOG9 at checkout), Best Buy, Samsung or Newegg for $2,499.99. Unfortunately, you cannot use the credit to offset the cost of the monitor, but you can use it for other products. You might just want to mark your calendars if you choose to pre-order from Samsung, as this credit will only last until November 30.

As mentioned earlier, Samsung’s upcoming Odyssey Neo G9 features a 57-inch curved display with a higher resolution of 7680 x 2160 than its predecessor. This results in an exceptionally wide aspect ratio of 32:9. We haven’t tested the monitor yet, but in our experience, extra horizontal resolution like this tends to be especially useful for multitasking. That said, it’s not particularly ideal for gaming, as 3D games can be distorted on monitors this wide.

Fortunately, the monitor offers other useful gaming specs that can make up for this. Like the original Neo G9, the monitor offers a 240Hz refresh rate. AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro variable refresh rate technology is supported. Other useful features include a host of multitasking tools, including picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture viewing modes so you can view the contents of multiple entries at the same time. The monitor also comes with a DisplayPort 2.1 as well as three HDMI 2.1 ports and a USB hub.
