A ‘Yellowstone’ star will be absent from the 2022 Screen Actors Guild awards due to the event’s vaccination and testing guidelines.

“I don’t mean to offend anyone,” Forrie J. Smith said Monday in a since-deleted Instagram address to his followers. “It is an obligation to be vaccinated.”

Event organizers said the awards show, which will be broadcast live on TNT and TBS on Sunday February 27, will require attendees to be vaccinated, have a booster and test negative for COVID-19 within 48 hours of the show. The organizers also ask those present to wear a mask.

“I’m not vaccinated. I’m not getting vaccinated,” Smith says in the video. “I haven’t been vaccinated since I was little. I don’t vaccinate my dogs, I don’t vaccinate my horses. I’ve never been vaccinated against the flu. I never will. I believe they compromise your immunity.”

“Yellowstone” received its first-ever SAG nomination on January 12 for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Last month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said it “recommends people stay up to date with their vaccines, which includes extra doses for people with compromised immune systems or booster doses at regular times. People who are moderately or severely immunocompromised should receive an additional primary injection and a booster injection.”

CDC data shows that over 200 million Americans are now fully immunized and over 90 million have received a booster dose.

Officials have urged all eligible Americans to get boosted amid the spread of the omicron and delta variants of the coronavirus.

Representatives for Smith and Paramount did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
