Yankees fans turn bleachers into barbershop during loss to Rays

The Yankees have been insufferable to watch lately, and the Bleacher Creatures want them to cut it – literally.

YES Network’s broadcast of Tuesday’s 3-1 loss to the Rays caught a fan, draped in a barber’s bib and all, having his hair cut by another fan, equipped with a spray bottle, a comb and veils. (It is unclear how the fan got past Yankee Stadium security with the contraband).

“Wow – they’re giving haircuts in the stands. I need a little trim. Want to go tomorrow? Michael Kay asked his partners in the booth downstairs on eighth.

“I don’t know if this guy’s board is certified, Michael,” Paul O’Neill said of the fan giving the cup. “You could come back looking awfully funny.”

The Yankees are on a three-game losing streak and are in danger of being swept away by the Rays at home on Wednesday. In August, the Yankees are a dreadful 3-11, but still have a nine-game lead over the Tampa Bay Rays for first place in the AL East at 72-45.
