Anderlecht got closer to Yan Dhanda from Swansea.
The Championship team want to keep the striker but he hasn’t signed a new contract offer which has been on the table since January.
The 22-year-old has one year left on his current contract and wants to play first-team football more regularly.
Anderlecht – led by former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany – have shown interest in giving Dhanda some playing time.
Dhanda is one of football’s most influential South Asians and is a member of the Kick It Out Player Advisory Group.
The former Liverpool academy player said Sky Sports News last season: “My main goal is to empower young South Asian players who want to be successful in professional football. “
He was the target of racism on social media in February following an FA Cup match against Manchester City.
