WWE RAW stacks up surprises with the return of John Cena, Goldberg and Keith Lee

WWE has been on fire since fans returned to their shows with arenas packed to capacity.

Finn Balor has returned to the main roster after a nearly two-year sabbatical at NXT on SmackDown. John Cena made a shock appearance to close Money in the Bank.

John Cena explained why he was targeting Roman Reigns

On RAW, Cena spoke to the WWE Universe to open the show, and Goldberg and Keith Lee’s returns would also include a stacked show.

Cena opened the proceedings by leading WWE fans through some token cheers. The 16-time world champion was enjoying his new universal love from fans, especially after the incredible pop he received at Money in the Bank.

When he got down to work he said he was targeting Roman Reigns because he is an “a ** hole”.

Reigns isn’t as finished as he thinks he is and Cena thinks he needs to knock him down.

Keith Lee came back to a huge standing ovation

Keith Lee has been out of action for about six months in WWE and there has been an air of mystery as to why.

It was thought that he may not have any plans for the Limitless One, but once he was unable to compete in the Elimination Chamber for the United States title, it was reported that he could not get medical clearance.

Lee returned to RAW to respond to Bobby Lashley’s open challenge for the WWE Title. While he failed the night, the pop that greeted Lee back shows that RAW has another major returning star on their roster.

Speaking of Lashley, he was also the apple of Goldberg’s eye.

Goldberg to challenge Bobby Lashley at SummerSlam

The WCW icon and four-time World Champion made his first WWE appearance since challenging Drew McIntyre for the WWE Title at the Royal Rumble and he’s back in the title mix again.

He wants to face Lashley at SummerSlam and it would certainly be the biggest date in Lashley’s championship reign so far.

Goldberg, 54, and a WWE Hall of Fame member, has been criticized by many wrestling fans for his performances in recent years, but he still has a two-game-a-year contract until 2023 with WWE.

His name still brings value to the table, but many fans would love to see him used without him arguing – and potentially winning – for the WWE Title.

WWE has even more surprises up its sleeve in the coming weeks with Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch both yet to return to the business, but they are expected to do so.
