WWE Draft 2024 results, round 8: Ilja Dragunov called up to Raw

Here’s how the eighth round of the 2024 WWE Draft went:

  1. Raw: Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh)
  2. Smack down: Naomi
  3. Raw: Ilja Dragunov
  4. Smack down: Chelsea Green and Piper Niven

Alundra Blayze and Teddy Long were the special guests to announce these selections.

The big news here ended up being that NXT star Ilja Dragunov was called up to the main roster to join the red brand. He just lost the NXT Championship to Trick Williams a week ago and had done everything there was to do there. It’s a fun addition to the show.

Raw also kept The Judgment Day, because of course that would happen with Damian Priest still there. Plus, Dirty Dom is back on the same brand as his father!

Meanwhile, SmackDown drafted three women, with women’s title challenger Naomi staying put and the team of Chelsea Green and Piper Niven moving on.
