In an official statement, the BCCI revealed the dates of the WPL auction. As previously reported by Insidesport, the event will take place at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai on February 13. A total of 1,525 players have registered for the inaugural Women’s Premier League Player Auction. BCCI has narrowed the list down to 409. The auction will start at 2:30 p.m. IST.

Out of 409 players, 246 are Indians and 163 are foreign players out of which 8 players are associated nations. The total number of capped players is 202, uncapped players are 199 and 8 are associated nations. A maximum of 90 places are available with the five teams, 30 of which are reserved for foreign players.
WPL Auction 2023: What we know so far
- The Inuargal WPL will be held from March 4 to 26
- Five teams were sold for a combined INR 4669.99 crore

INR 50 Lakhs is the highest reserve price with 24 players choosing to be placed in the highest bracket.
