Wolves fall to Milwaukee Admirals in first loss of all playoffs

MILWAUKEE (CBS) –The Chicago Wolves were hoping to eliminate the Milwaukee Admirals with a playoff sweep in the AHL playoffs — but no luck Wednesday night.

The Admirals scored three power-play goals and Wolves couldn’t compete.

As noted in Wolves’ game recap, Rocco Grimaldi scored Milwaukee’s first power-play goal in the second period. Cole Smith struck again later in the period.

Wolves forwards Jack Drury and Josh Leivo scored in the third period. But the Admirals eventually won 4-2.

It was Wolves’ first loss in the playoffs.

There will be a match 4 on Friday.
