With two goals, Atlas beat Tigres at the Jalisco stadium

On date 8 of the Mexico – Liga MX – Apertura 2023 tournament, the Zorros were superior and took the three points against a lackluster rival. The goals for the local team were scored by Juan Manuel Zapata (30′ 1T, from a free kick) and Jordy Caicedo (43′ 1T).

Adonai Escobedo González was the referee who directed the match at the Jalisco stadium.

The Zorros’ next game in the championship will be as a visitor against FC Juárez, while the Felinos will host CF Monterrey. For the Felinos it will be a unique moment, as they will face their eternal rival in the long-awaited royal classic.

With this result, the host of the match reaches 12 points and is in eighth place. For its part, the visiting team remains at 14 points and is in fourth place in the tournament.
