WI vs. ENG 2022 | Twitter reacts as Kemar Roach crushes Joe Root with a peach of a delivery
West Indies host England for a three-game Test series and the hosts started the opening Test well on day one. Also, Kemar Roach threw a superb delivery to Bamboozle from England captain Joe Root and the latter left the ball which came back abruptly to break his stumps.
England and the West Indies are currently playing a three-game Test series. The first Test of the series takes place in Antigua and the hosts made a strong start to the game at the end of the first day. England won the coin toss and elected to bat first against Team Caribbean. The decision didn’t go down well for the visitors as they lost four wickets from a total of 48 but the order from the bottom middle saved them from a possible downfall.
Jonny Bairstow scored a century with an undefeated 109-point shot. Ben Stokes contributed with 36 points while Ben Foakes scored 42. Chris Woakes is on the fold with 24 points to his name. Kemar GardonJayden Seales and Jason Holder scalped two wickets each for the team.
Kemar Roach produced one of the superb deliveries to reject Joe Root. He threw a ball out of the lane in the ninth inning and Root wasn’t trying to play it thinking it wouldn’t hit the stumps. However, the delivery snapped back and broke the top of the stump.
