Randall thinks his mom is worthy of an award!
NBC’s hit series It’s us– featuring mandy moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown and Chrissy Metz– coming to an end. But before saying goodbye to the Pearson family once and for all, Sterling took to Instagram with a plea on behalf of his on-screen mother, Mandy.
His request ? For Emmys voters to keep Mandy in mind this year.
“I want everyone who votes in the Academy,” Sterling says in the video. “Anyone who has a say in what happens… Mandy Moore kills the game, son, and she deserves credit.”
Sterling won an Emmy for her role in the drama in 2017, and Mandy was nominated in 2019 but didn’t win.
And although Mandy is 38 and Sterling is 46, the actor says she’s completely believable as her mother.
“Mandy Moore is eight years younger than me and she plays my mom,” he continues. “And there’s never a moment on set – I don’t know what it’s like watching for you guys – when I’m like, ‘Mandy Moore is too young to play my mom,’ no, That’s my mother.”
