The Guardian. “He was lucid, conscious. He was talking, joking with some of the rescuers at one point.

Unfortunately, the accident left the Oscar-winning actor with severe nerve damage, and he’s been forced to wear a compression glove ever since to keep the blood moving. Since then, his hand has been paralyzed. “I suffered nerve damage and it didn’t improve. I can’t move it,’ he said People in 2010.

Since the accident, Morgan has often worn a compression glove when out in public to keep blood from pooling, according to a 2012 profile in Squire. He said it caused fibromyalgia. The accident also prevented The black Knight actor to partake in some of his beloved hobbies that he once participated in, including jet flying and sailing. Still, he said he tried not to let it drag him down. “Up and down the arm. This is where it gets so bad. Atrocious,” he explained. “There is a point to changes like these. I have to move on, to other conceptions of myself. I play golf. I am still working. And I can be happy enough just to walk the earth.
