Why aren’t the Eagles more respected?

The Philadelphia Eagles hold the NFL’s best record this season and they rank in the top five in the league in points per game (27.5), Rushing Touchdowns (21) and Offensive First Downs (253). The accolades for Jalen Hurts keep piling up as he continues to set the tone as the leader of this premier offense. One of the top betting favorites to win the NFL MVP, Hurts threw for 17 touchdowns this year while only being drafted for three interceptions and not devaluing Hurts’ feet rushing for more than 596 yards and scoring eight touchdowns.

Despite some fans and national media concerns about the Eagles’ defense, their defense has allowed the second-fewest total yards in the NFL and is number one in the league in forced turnovers. So why aren’t the Eagles more respected? In many national power charts and talk shows, the Eagles are not ranked as the best or even the second best in the league! So much love is shown for the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills as well as their rivals the Dallas Cowboys, the Eagles are like Rodney Dangerfield: they get no respect!

This Sunday afternoon, the Eagles will take on the tough Tennessee Titans who sit first in the AFC South division and are 4-2 since their bye week.
