Fantasy baseball is just around the corner. In fact, many leagues have already drafted in preparation for the season which begins in about a week. It’s an exciting time to be a baseball fan or fantasy player.
Trea Turner is by far the best shortstop available in fantasy baseball. However, it will go away very soon and leave many writers with no other options. Turner numbers over .300 and with around 30 homers and 30 interceptions for elite fantasy production. If he’s off the board, here are some options for replacing him.

Fantastic Baseball Shortstops That Aren’t Trea Turner
3) Fernando Tatis Jr.
Fernando Tatis Jr. will start the year with suspension, so he won’t play for any draft team for a little while. However, that ends on April 20, so there will be almost a month of the season without a shortstop for whichever fantasy manager picks him.
In his absence people have forgotten how good he is and this year he will remind everyone of that. Take advantage of his slippery ADP to grab him and stash him for a month.
2) Francois Lindor
Francisco Lindor is ready for another great season. The New York Mets return with essentially the same roster, so expect the same from their star shortstop. He is one of the best in the game and he will show it again this season.
1) Bo Bichette
Bo Bichette is a great fantastic option
Bo Bichette is widely considered the second-best shortstop in fantasy baseball and for good reason. Expect the Toronto Blue Jays star to hit around .300 and steal plenty of bases, especially since the new rules have made them bigger. He’s a central point in the Blue Jays’ loaded offense and will have plenty of opportunities to get plenty of points for the managers.
