White Sox fans will be concerned about this Liam Hendriks stat

The Chicago White Sox are hoping they can put last night’s epic meltdown in the rearview mirror.

After leading 8-2 in the top of the ninth inning, the bullpen collapsed and gave the Cleveland Guardians a stunning win from behind at Guaranteed Rate Field, led by Josh’s eight RBI night. Nayllor.

At the center of Chicago’s meltdown, Liam Hendriks closed in on Liam Hendriks, who dropped Naylor’s grand slam.

He was responsible for two of the runs that scored for the Guardians in the top of the ninth and was credited with his second missed save of the season.

But ESPN’s Jesse Rogers tweeted about another rough stat for the closer White Sox.

A tough ride

As seen in the tweet, Hendriks’ home run percentage has increased slightly and he’s already allowed a decent number of legacy runners to score.

It’s just a little worrying for the White Sox and their fans.

Hendriks dominated last season, which was his first on Chicago’s South Side.

This season he has not been so lucky.

Although still relatively early, Hendriks is 0-2 with a 4.61 ERA in 14 appearances.

He’s certainly had a lot of success with legacy runners in the past, he inherited 30 last year and only allowed three of them to score.

Again this season he allowed four of the five runners he inherited to score.

The race hasn’t exactly been easy for the back-to-back winner of the American League’s reliever of the year award.

We’ll see if he can correct his mistakes and return to his old form.

There is time left in the season, but he needs to figure it out quickly.
