White House to reallocate unordered vaccine doses from states

The Biden administration will soon allow states to order coronavirus vaccines that other states are not using, marking a major shift in how the federal government allocates doses.

The move comes as the supply of vaccines has started to exceed demand in parts of the country. Some states have stated that they do not order all of their allocated plans each week.

The change in vaccine strategy was confirmed by three knowledgeable sources. President Joe Biden will speak on the country’s vaccination campaign this afternoon.
