Create a castle

Married couple Kevin and Laurie Lane appeared on shark tank to convince sharks to invest in their business, Create A Castle. As its name suggests, the company creates tools that make it easy to create sand or snow castles.

The founders came into the tank with a deal of $350,000 for 10% equity. They mentioned that they have 12 patents worldwide and had sales of $600,000 last year. They mentioned that they didn’t have much profit yet, as they had previously encountered inventory issues due to the lockdown.

Sharks liked the concept of their business, but not all were interested in investing in the business. Kevin called it “unprofitable”, while Lori and Mark backed off citing similar reasons.
