There is set to be a new name on the FA Cup trophy this season after Leicester were knocked out of the competition in the final round.

Brendan Rodgers’ Foxes won their first-ever FA Cup last season after thrashing Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley.

But Rodgers’ side were stunned in their bid to defend their crown after crashing out with a 4-1 loss to Nottingham Forest in the fourth round.

Championship side Forest – who also knocked out Arsenal – are now among the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool as this season’s contenders.

We’ve got plenty of action ahead before we can start thinking about the final, but fans can jot down the date of the showpiece match.

FA Cup final: date and time

This year’s final will take place at Wembley Stadium and will take place on Saturday May 14.

The kick-off time has yet to be confirmed but will likely be at 4:30 p.m.

FA Cup Final: UEL qualification

The FA Cup winner will qualify for the UEFA Europa League next season.

Leicester won the cup last season but had already qualified for European secondary competition thanks to fifth place in the Premier League.
