When is the Champions League Round of 16 draw? Date, time, TV channel and seeded teams

Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester City are among the teams that have already booked their place in the round of 16 and have since been joined by Napoli, Porto and Tottenham.

This midweek action should complete the cast of teams vying to compete for the famous trophy in 2023, with heavyweights such as Real Madrid and PSG yet to play.

As always, the Round of 16 will feature home and away matches with away goals no longer implemented in the Champions League.

When is the Champions League draw?

The Champions League draw will take place on Monday 7 November 2022 at 11am GMT.

UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland will host the ceremony.

Champions League seeding draw

Group winners will be ranked for the draw. Teams from the same nation and group cannot be drawn against each other.

First in the series : Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester City, Napoli, Tottenham, Porto

Unclassified : Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, Club Brugge, Frankfurt

To be determined: Real Madrid, PSG, Benfica.

TV channel: In the UK, the draw will be broadcast live on BT Sport 1.

Direct: UEFA will broadcast the draw via its YouTube channel while BT Sport subscribers can watch on the BT Sport website and app.

When will the Champions League round of 16 take place?

The eight matches will be spread over two midweeks.

The first legs are scheduled for February 14/15 and 21/22. The return matches will take place on 7/8 and 14/15 March.
