Chelsea will play their second Club World Cup early next year after winning the 2020/21 Champions League.
The Blues have only reached the final once before, but failed to lift the trophy after losing 1-0 to the Corinthians in Japan.
Since then, a European team have won the competition every year, with Bayern Munich beating the Mexican Tigers in last year’s final, which was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 2021 competition was also postponed and moved from Japan to the United Arab Emirates amid the pandemic. But Chelsea have high hopes of lifting the crown once and for all with their path to glory soon to be mapped out.
