Hafthor Bjornsson is not a man you want to get on the wrong side with.
The 6-foot-9 former world’s strongest man is an imposing figure and has already threatened to crush Cristiano Ronaldo’s header if he scores against Iceland.
Returning to Euro 2016, Portugal faced Iceland in the opening group of the tournament and the strongman sent a message to the superstar striker.
He joked in a clip posted on YouTube, “Hey, my name is Hafthor Bjornsson from Iceland. I am the mountain from Game of Thrones.
“I have a message for Cristiano Ronaldo. I know you play against Iceland in the first game, if you dare to score against my teammates I will find you and smash your head like I did with The Viper.
Thor was referring to a famous scene from Game of Thrones where (spoiler alert) his character crushed Oberyn Martell’s skull.
The message was, of course, ironic, but Ronaldo failed to score in the game which ended 1-1.
Portugal, however, became the champions of Euro 2016, while Iceland knocked out England before falling to France in the quarter-finals.
Ronaldo, who recently joined Manchester United at the age of 36, has scored three goals and added three assists in the tournament.
Thor, meanwhile, is currently preparing to fight British strongman Eddie Hall in the boxing ring, but the fight has been postponed until next year.
The two were due to face off in September, but The Mountain will now face the notorious showdown Devon Larratt.
