When does the 2023 summer transfer window open? Full Premier League details with Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice reportedly in motion

As the Premier League season draws to a close, eyes are already starting to turn to the summer transfer window.

The exciting campaign will end on Sunday May 28 and it won’t be long until teams can make signings.

The 2022 transfer windows have broken records in the top flight, with £1.9bn spent in the summer before a further £780m was spent in January.

Chelsea were responsible for much of that as Todd Boehly splashed the cash and after a disappointing season it’s likely the Blues will be active again.

There are potentially huge moves on the cards this summer with Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice among many names expected to leave their clubs.

When does the summer transfer window open?

The Premier League has confirmed that the 2023 summer transfer window will officially open on Wednesday June 14.

However, English clubs will only be allowed to sign players from domestic leagues until July 1, when international deals will then be permitted.

The window will close at 11 p.m. on Friday, September 1.

Top-flight bosses have also confirmed dates for the 2024 winter transfer window which will open on Monday January 1 before closing at 11pm on Thursday February 1.

The EFL transfer window will open on the same day as the Premier League but dates vary elsewhere in Europe.

La Liga, Serie A and the Bundesliga are all set to open their windows on July 1, while Ligue 1 follows England with its opening date.

There were huge deals last summer, with Erling Haaland, Antony, Darwin Nunez and Casemiro all coming to England.

If this window feels like the last, then fans are in for a treat as other big names make their big moves.
