🗳️ Are all eyes on Virginie? Democratic and Republican activists say they are focused on winning the state in the 2023 elections. Virginia’s state Senate and House of Delegates senators and representatives will all be up for re-election for the first time in four years, and the election results could send a clear signal about the state’s fate in the 2024 presidential election.
🐘 Virginia Republicans want to retain their majority in the House of Representatives and tip their Senate into the red, just as the national Republican Party aspires to retain the U.S. House of Representatives and retake the majority in the Senate in 2024.
Gov. Glenn Youngkin told USA TODAY he’s “incredibly focused” on his state’s upcoming election, even though presidential buzz has surrounded it for months.
