The 2021 summer transfer window is set to come to an end, but Premier League clubs will be looking to spend late.
The January market was quieter than usual following the impacts of COVID-19 lockdowns.
But with football back to normal, this summer has seen some truly amazing deals done.
Manchester City broke the transfer record by signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa for £ 100million.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have offloaded Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho for £ 73million and have confirmed his £ 43million transfer to Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.
The Red Devils have also announced their deal to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, signing him for £ 20million from Juventus.
Elsewhere, Chelsea rushed for Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku in a record-breaking £ 97.5million deal, seven years after leaving West London for Everton in 2014.
A host of other deals are in the works in what should be a busy end of the summer window.
When does the transfer window close?
The Premier League’s summer transfer window lasted 12 weeks from Wednesday 9 June.
It will close again at 11 p.m. on Tuesday August 31.
The Scottish transfer window will take place on the same dates and it will also do so in France, Spain and Germany.
This summer’s rescheduled Euro 2020 tournament took place between June 11 and July 11 as an added complication for transfer transactions.
