The Cup Series is back to racing by mid-afternoon this weekend after hosting last week’s All-Star race overnight. The Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway is scheduled to begin shortly after 3:30 p.m. ET.

NASCAR hosts the majority of its 2021 races during the day, and the Nashville race begins a daytime racing streak that will run through the end of August.

The green flag for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway is expected to be waved after 3:30 p.m. ET.

Rain can be a factor on race day. The National Weather Service’s weekend forecast for Lebanon, Tenn., Where the Nashville Superspeedway is located, calls for possible showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and night, with high temperatures nearing 90 degrees. There is a 40 percent chance of precipitation on Sunday afternoon, according to the weather service.

NBC and NBC Sports Network are expected to broadcast the remaining NASCAR Cup Series races in 2021 until the playoffs. NBCSN will broadcast Ally 400 from Nashville on Sunday. Rick Allen will call the race with help from analysts Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton and Steve Letarte. Marty Snider, Kelli Stavast and Parker Kligerman will be the stand reporters.
