What is glioblastoma? Aggressive cancer linked to Tom Parker’s death

Tom Parker, lead singer of British-Irish boy band The Wanted, died Wednesday at age 33 after battling glioblastoma.

In a social media post, Parker’s wife Kelsey Hardwick said he died peacefully surrounded by friends and family.

“Tom was the center of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence,” she wrote. “We are truly grateful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all come together to keep Tom’s light shining for his beautiful children.”

The singer first opened up about his inoperable brain tumor diagnosis in a 2020 interview with OK! magazine.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
