The official press release from Juventus:
“McKennie, whose black and white adventure began in the summer of 2020, says goodbye to our colors after 96 appearances in all competitions, enriched with 13 goals and 5 assists. Impossible, among these, to forget the splendid scored against Barcelona.
Weston has always made his contribution, as evidenced by the 64 games he has faced as a starter out of the nearly 100 played with our jersey, and above all he has put his best characteristics at the service of the team. Suffice to say that since his arrival in Turin, during the 2020/2021 season, no Juventus player has scored more headed goals than him in all competitions: no less than seven.
Remaining in his first season at Juventus, he was involved in seven goals (five goals and two assists) in the league, setting his personal record for active appearances in Europe’s top five leagues.
He leaves Italy with the knowledge that he is – to date – the American player with the most goals in Serie A: nine.
Now a new adventure awaits him and we thank him for these seasons spent together, wishing him the best.
Thanks Weston! »
