West Ham star Kurt Zouma hopes to ‘hurt’ Chelsea in ‘special’ London derby reunion

Zouma moved from Stamford Bridge to London Stadium on a £ 29.8million contract this summer after seven years and 151 appearances for Chelsea.

The Frenchman has made an impressive start in east London but knows how to expect a tough afternoon against his former employers on Saturday.

“It will be special in a way because I’ve been there for so many years,” Zouma said.

“I want to beat Chelsea because I want to beat everyone. I play for West Ham now and I’m very happy to be here. It will be a tough game because we know they have a lot of strength but we have to use our strength to make them suffer.

West Ham remain in the top four despite a two-game losing streak and a draw in their last three league games, leaving them seven points for Liverpool in third and nine behind Thomas Tuchel’s Blues.

The blip did not touch confidence, however.

“I mean, when you see the season we’re going through right now, I don’t want to go too far, but we can beat the top four and six and that’s where we are at the minute – we can compete.” with everyone, ”Zouma said.

“That’s what we want, to be a competitive team and to play in Europe every season. Obviously, it starts from Saturday. It will be a tough game, but we are confident that we can get points for it. “
