West Ham has yet to receive an official offer for Declan Rice, according to talkSPORT’s Jim White.
Rice has been the subject of transfer speculation this summer, following his impressive Euro 2020 campaign with England, Chelsea and Manchester United apparently interested.
Latest rumors suggest the Blues are considering offering Tammy Abraham to the Hammers as part of a more cash player deal in an effort to re-sign the midfielder.
Rice was with Chelsea in his youth but was released at the age of 14 and now watches enviously as he beats his London rivals.
The 22-year-old played for England at Euro 2020 with his stock only increasing after the tournament where he started every game for the beaten finalists.
Despite the interest reported, however, there were no offers for the midfielder.
According to Jim White, there hasn’t even been a conversation within West Ham about their vice-captain leaving this summer.
The talkSPORT host said: “I can tell you there hasn’t been an offer for Declan Rice so far, they don’t want it.
“There haven’t even been any conversations from other clubs regarding Declan Rice.”
Former Hammers winger Trevor Sinclair replied, “It will be very well received by the fans.
“He had an exceptional season, 22 years old and he just made a superb Euros.”
The Hammers are reportedly demanding £ 100million for his services and Carlton Cole, who has played for both West Ham and Chelsea, believes he is worth the fee after his outstanding performance at Euro 2020 for the Three Lions.
He told talkSPORT: “Every time he kicked a euro ball I was like, ‘His price has gone up!’
“He’s becoming more and more desirable and for me he’s a top player – we all know that at West Ham.
“He proved himself there and was mentored by a great West Ham legend in Mark Noble.
“He [Noble] did not have a selection for England but was a great pro role model. Rice worked under his tutelage and learned the ropes to be a leader in the field.
“He has the qualities of a central midfielder, but he can also play as a central defender. All about Declan is that he needs games at the highest level.
When asked if he was worth £ 50million, Cole replied: ‘I’m going to double that. In this day and age that is.
“He’s so loved by West Ham and is an integral part of this West Ham outfit.
“If you start selling your best players then you’re in trouble. “
