‘We’re off the Christmas card list’ – Cristiano Ronaldo clears Manchester United legend Gary Neville after criticism and ‘joins the club’ with Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher

Cristiano Ronaldo has snubbed another football legend as he shares his feelings about media criticism with Gary Neville, the latest addition.

The Manchester United striker has endured a difficult season so far in which his high-profile fallout with head coach Erik ten Hag has made headlines around the world.

After being left out of the matchday squad against Chelsea last week, ex-United star Neville has been embroiled in a heated argument with Roy Keane for Sky Sports.

He criticized Ronaldo’s conduct after storming through the tunnel against Tottenham the previous week.

Apparently having heard Neville’s criticism, the 37-year-old made his own statement as he came to say hello to the Sky Sports squad ahead of the clash with West Ham.

He shook hands and hugs ex-Red Devil Louis Saha and ex-Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp before masking Neville as he headed into the warm-up.

Neville saw the fun side though and joked, “We’re off the Christmas card list anymore.”

Neville isn’t alone after being shunned by Ronaldo, however, with Jamie Carragher suffering a similar fate earlier this season.

After watching history repeat itself, Carragher took to Twitter to poke fun at his Sky Sports colleague, saying, “Welcome to the ‘Ronaldo laundered’ club, @GNev2”, followed by two laughing emojis.

And Neville responded with two more laughing emojis and a handshake.

Given that Ronaldo rarely makes the headlines at the moment, it’s only a matter of time before another pundit is added to the striker’s list of villains.
