Wendy’s to sell former McDonald’s fan favorite – NBC Chicago

Once long known as an affordable McDonald’s fan favorite, chicken wraps have been absent from the menu for years despite frequent calls to revive the revered item.

Now, in a move that could be seen as furthering an often viral social media feud, rival Wendy’s is considering selling a grilled chicken ranch wrap, according to CNN.

The package will include diced grilled chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, romaine lettuce and ranch dressing in a warm tortilla, according to the CNN report.

Previously, McDonald’s offered the snack wrap with crispy, grilled chicken, as well as a honey mustard and barbecue option.

According to CNN, the wrap will retail for $6.29 and is intended to be more of a meal than a snack, with Wendy’s salad ingredients in a portable option.

The wraps should be available by next week and aren’t the only items added to the menu, according to CNN.

Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad and Pomegranate Blueberry Lemonade are both added to the menu, though the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Southwestern Avocado Salad are both removed.
