Mike Trout’s 12-year MLB career has been filled with many milestones and he recorded another on Tuesday night, earning the No. 1,500 hit.
This one was very special for Trout, throwing his first home run since July 8, for the game-clinching hit.
Trout, who suffered a back injury, hit his 25th home run of the season on a catwalk at Tropicana Field in Tampa. The 31-year-old missed five weeks with what was eventually diagnosed as costovertebral dysfunction in his back.
The Millville alum is considered one of the best players in the game and is a ten-time All-Star and three-time American League Most Valuable Player.
