WATCH: Mehmet Oz shoots the skeet

Senate candidate Mehmet Oz (right) renewed his pro-gun claims by posting a video of himself shooting a skeet and discussing the importance of the Second Amendment.

The video opens with Oz saying, “My dad taught me how to handle my first gun. I taught my son, Oliver, how to do the same.

It shows Oz taking a hit at a steel target with a Glock handgun and then skeet firing with an upper/lower shotgun.

Oz says people who believe he won’t support guns are “absolutely wrong”.

He looks at the camera and says, “Our Second Amendment isn’t just about hunting. It is our constitutional right to protect ourselves from intruders or an overly intrusive government.

Oz points out that he is endorsed by Ted Nugent, Rick Perry and former President Donald Trump.

The video ends with him saying, “As the next U.S. Senator, I will fight for our constitutional rights.”

On February 23, 2022, Breitbart News reported that Oz allegedly told potential voters in Lower Bucks County, Pennsylvania that he supported a red flag law.

LevittownNow.com reported that Oz was in Lower Bucks County, where he spoke about being pro-Second Amendment, but expressed support for a red flag law that allows mental evaluations to determine who should – and should not – possess weapons.
