Watch: Fleury thought it would be fun to fight Binnington

There’s already been one goalie goal in the NHL this season and we nearly had a goalie fight Wednesday night when Minnesota Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury skated along the ice to challenge St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington.

Fleury really wanted to fight him. A lot.

So much so that he tried to convince the linesman who intervened to let him go because it would, in Fleury’s words, be “fun” and “get the crowd moving a bit”.

Fleury was the microphone for the match and the exchange was recorded.
