WATCH: Escaped inmate, sheriff’s employee seen on camera after being released from jail

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Authorities released new surveillance video of Correctional Officer Vicky White and inmate Casey Cole White shortly after leaving the detention center last Friday.

Footage comes from a local gas station camera and shows the Ford Taurus patrol car as it drives past the store at the intersection of Cox Creek and Huntsville Road around 9.49am.

Keep an eye on the top left corner of the screen. About 10 seconds later, the patrol car can be seen turning left onto the highway and past the gas station, disappearing on the right side of the screen.

Officials said at previous news conferences they reviewed surveillance video of the unrelated pair abandoning that patrol car in a nearby parking lot shortly after the video was released. -above. Authorities have not said when this video will be available.

Surveillance footage from the detention center was released earlier this week showing Vicky and Casey leaving the building in a patrol car. The assistant director of corrections removed the 6-foot-9, nearly 300-pound inmate from the jail and placed him in the back of the patrol car.

Sheriff Rick Singleton confirmed the pair were romantically involved and publicly issued an arrest warrant for the 56-year-old and 16-year-old department veteran.

US Marshals have offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to Casey White’s arrest, and most recently a $5,000 reward for information leading to Vicky White.
