Kieran Brookes is on his way to Toulon

Former England mainstay Kieran Brookes is among three other Wasps players due to leave Ricoh Arena at the end of the season.

Brookes, who won 16 caps between 2014-16, lifts the curtain on his three-year stay at the club, with Toulon being his likely destination.

“I have had a wonderful time at Wasps over the past three years,” said Brookes. “I am sad to leave such a great group of players and coaches and I will leave with great memories.

“I would like to say a big thank you to all the fans for their support on and off the pitch. I can’t wait to go out one last time this weekend and end on a high.”

The stubborn 30-year-old is followed to Coventry by compatriot Simon McIntyre and winger Callum Sirker.

“All good things come to an end,” McIntyre said. “It’s crazy to think I’ve been at this club for a third of my life. Ten years is a long time anywhere and it’s going to be emotional for me to leave.

“I’m so grateful to be able to play one last time in front of our brilliant fans. Some of the best games and moments of my time here were made special by the fans.”

Sirker said: “I have made so many lifelong friends among the Wasps players.

“I want to especially thank physio Jamie Hivement for his support and expertise during my rehabilitation process to bring me back better than before. I wish the club all the best for the future.”

Seven other members of the team, including Lima Sopoaga in Lyon, had already been confirmed to be leaving the Wasps.
