Washington’s decision to bring in four top quarterbacks at once makes no sense

It was comical, to say the least, to see some in the media cringe to congratulate the commanders for inviting four top quarterback prospects for a visit on the same day.

From my point of view, this makes no sense.

What’s the point of having Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, JJ McCarthy and Michael Penix in the building? the same day? The only argument we’ve seen is that they want to see how the four will interact.

For what? Who cares? When will the four be together again?

This could be an interesting sociological experiment, but it wastes the opportunity to know each actor individually.

We believe owner Josh Harris wanted to be there for the tours and they were lined up on a day he was available. It’s just a guess. I would not expect the commanders to admit this, because admitting this would be an acknowledgment that Harris has a significant voice in the final decision made by the commanders.

News flash: he does it.

He has already participated in meetings with quarterbacks at the Scouting Combine. This is a major decision, and he intends to participate in making it. But also being able to plausibly say that it was his footballers who made the decision.

This is not a criticism. It’s an effort to make sense of the absurd. If the reason all four of them were brought together on the same day was not because Harris wanted to set aside a day to meet with all of them, there is no reason to do it that way.
