Washington bans dollar supply from Russia — RT Business News

On Friday, the United States prohibited the export, re-export, sale or supply, directly or indirectly, from the United States, or by a person of the United States, of banknotes denominated in United States dollars to the government Russian or to anyone located in Russia. The White House is stepping up economic pressure on Russia over the war in Ukraine.

On March 2, the European Union also banned the export and import of euro banknotes to Russia. An exception was made only for people arriving in Russia, diplomatic missions and international organizations with legal immunity.
