According to the United States Food and Drug Administration, Continental Mills, the company that makes the mixture, issued the recall after finding cable fragments in some cans.
No customers found contaminated products and no injuries were reported on Saturday.
The FDA is asking anyone who purchased the pancake mix with the best as of September 9, 2023 to throw it away or return it for a refund.
“Food safety is the top priority for Continental Mills and the company is moving quickly to ensure consumer safety,” the company wrote in a press release posted on the FDA’s website. “Continental Mills is working with the FDA and retailers to ensure that any affected product is immediately removed from the market.”
