Voters reject Joe Biden in most key areas

Voters don’t approve of President Biden in nearly every key area, according to a Harvard-Harris survey released this week.

Biden’s overall approval rating is underwater, as 55% disapprove (40% strongly), compared to 40% who approve. The president isn’t faring much better on individual issues as he continues to lose support month by month.

Just 35%, for example, approve of his handling of the economy, reflecting a three-point drop in the past month. By comparison, 56% approved of former President Donald Trump’s handling of the economy after his departure in January 2021:

Challenging jobs
Trump January 2021: 58% approve
Biden May 2022: 44% approve (down two points last month)

Fight terrorism
