Yannick Bolloré, chairman of the supervisory board of Vivendi, and Arnaud Lagardère, CEO of the eponymous group, give Le Figaro their first interview since the takeover was formalized on Tuesday.
The big day has finally arrived. This Tuesday, November 21, Vivendi (Canal+, Havas, Prisma Media, etc.) finally officially takes control of the Lagardère group (Hachette, Europe 1, Europe 2, RFM, Paris Match, The Sunday Journal, Lagardère Travel retail), after three and a half years of an epic capital battle, followed by a series of twists and turns before the European competition authority. “We didn’t think it would take this long”entrust to Figaro Yannick Bolloré and Arnaud Lagardère, from the historic headquarters of Lagardère, located a stone’s throw from that of Vivendi. A few minutes earlier, Vincent Bolloré, the Breton patriarch and first shareholder of Vivendi who got the better of the sponsorship of the Lagardère group, was passing through the premises overlooking the Arc-de-Triomphe, to pose on the “family photo”, alongside his youngest son and Arnaud Lagardère.
Thanks to the finalization of the sale of Gala to the Le Figaro group and that of Editis to the billionaire…
