The Bath Netball team travel to Monday night to take on Leeds Rhinos Netball with three sparring partners and a sparring associate looking to seize a huge opportunity.

The five-time Superleague champions will take on Tracey Robinson’s side at the EIS in Sheffield, live on sky sports and saw their preparations severely disrupted by a wave of Covid-19 which swept through the club.

The Bath Netball team travels north with sparring partners Molly Hole, Lily Jones and Kirsty Harris, alongside sparring associate Anya Le Monnier.

All four will be eager to make a name for themselves at Vitality Netball Superleague level and take the place of absentees Betsy Creak, Hannah Passmore, Rachel Shaw and Serena Guthrie.

Guthrie has more time to reset after the recent international series of quads.

Jo Vann is stepping in as an emergency replacement head coach. She will lead the team alone and the franchise will also lack its team manager and physio.

“Despite all the disruption, the attitude and approach of the players to training and analysis last week was exceptional,” said Anna Stembridge, who will not be at Sheffield.

“They’ve come together, stronger than ever, to make sure they deliver a performance they can be proud of.”
