Visual artist Mohamed Bennani bows out

The visual artist mohamed benani died Wednesday in a clinic in Kenitra at the age of 80, following an illness, we learned from the Moroccan Union of Professional Visual Artists.
Native of Tetouan, mohamed benaniconsidered one of the greatest Moroccan visual artists, accelerated his artistic career with a first exposure A Tangier in the late 70’s.
After studying at theAl Quaraouiyine University of Fezthe late one won a scholarship in 1962 at theNational School of Fine Arts in Paris, from which he graduated with a degree in fine arts, drawing and sculpture. He also lived and worked in Paris as part of an artistic residency.
Late Mohamed Bennani participated in numerous exhibitions Morocco et al’foreign and his works are exhibited in the museums the most famous in the world.
In 2008, he was decorated with the Wissam Royal of the Order of Officer on the occasion of the inauguration of the National Library of the Kingdom.
