Virat Kohli is one of the best strikers in world cricket but since 2019 the former India captain hasn’t been able to score a hundred in any game format. However, former Pakistani striker Salman Butt believes that those who understand the game know that Virat Kohli is himself an institution.
Virat Kohli has dominated world cricket for over a decade now and is one of the best hitters in the game. Kohli has struggled with his form for some time now and hasn’t scored a century in any game format since 2019. Yet, he is still considered one of the greatest hitters to ever play the game by fans and former cricketers. The former RCB skipper didn’t have a great IPL which raised more concerns about his form.
Former Pakistani cricketer Salman’s buttocks talked about Virat Kohli and praised him for the way he has played over the years. “Those who understand the game know that Kohli is an institution in itself. The way he behaved and established himself as a role model as an athlete, as a batter and as a captain, he has exemplary stature,” Salman Butt said on his official YouTube channel.
“Virat has set such high standards for himself that turning 50 in eight of his last 14 matches has gone unnoticed. People think he’s out of shape because he’s gotten into the habit of scoring centuries He will be back in shape for the sake of cricket,” he added.
Virat Kohli has taken a break from cricket and will not be part of India’s squad for the upcoming T20I series against South Africa which will start on June 9, 2022. The first match will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
