The golfer who ripped off his shirt and challenged other players to fight over a lost ball has reportedly had several run-ins with the law, including for allegedly threatening a neighbor while wearing only his underwear.
The so-called “Karen on the Golf Course” went viral after footage posted to TikTok showed her going “full Hulk” at Crooked Creek Golf Course in Ottawa Lake, Michigan.
He has now been identified by the Daily Mail as John Warren Reeb, a 41-year-old man from Archbald, Ohio, with a lengthy criminal record, including recent run-ins this summer.
On July 15, the 5-foot-9 man allegedly yelled at Keith Perry, 48, as the Archbold man got into his truck to go to work, the outlet reported, citing Archbold Buckeye.
Reeb allegedly spit on the truck and also attempted to spit on Perry through the window.
He was charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, in the incident.
On July 26, Reeb allegedly threatened another neighbor, Christian William Griteman, 26, while he was wearing only his underwear, according to Archbold Buckeye. He was again accused of disturbing public order.
Around 1:15 a.m. three days later, police responded to reports that a shirtless Reeb was apparently chasing a vehicle driven by a woman.
Police found him at his home, where he refused to open the door before being charged with obstructing official business and making threats, according to the outlet.
Reeb was also arrested twice last month, once in connection with an arrest warrant and then for allegedly “causing trouble for others,” the Daily Mail reported.
Last year, he was arrested for allegedly planning a riot, according to the outlet.
