SAN JOSE, Calif. – It was a violent weekend in the South Bay this weekend.

Gunfire in San Jose left two people dead in the space of about eight hours, including one victim at a Safeway store, authorities said.

Police spent most of the day at the Willow Glen neighborhood store.

In the parking lot, family members crumbled when they learned that the Safeway employee who had been killed was a relative.

Investigators say the victim was in an altercation with a man before the shooting which happened around 3.30am. on Sunday.

The police made no arrests.
